Sustainability

Sustainability: the balance between the environment, equity and the economy

Sustainability is a term used in the most diverse contexts, from fashion to economic investment, through culture or food.
This concept is often confused (and only related) to environmental sustainability. But it’s not just that. It is much more than the concern for the environment.
It’s trying to ensure that future generations will have access to the same resources that we have today.
Here at Atrium Saldanha, we care daily about minimizing our ecological footprint.
See our tips, and start implementing small but significant changes today.

Reduce electricity consumption:
Avoid leaving the lights on at night, turn off the lights during the day and enjoy sunlight whenever possible.
Save energy:
Replace your lamps with LED bulbs, turn it off or save mode if you are not going to use your computer.
Reuse Packaging:
Use reusable water bottles, reduce the use of disposable coffee cups, discard the use of plastic bags – You can find reusable bags in several stores.
Recycle:
Garbage separation prevents environmental degradation and the waste of resources.
Water your plants or garden at night:
It will avoid wasting up to 30% of the water, that would evaporate if you water them in the morning or afternoon.
Save water:
When washing your hands, turn off the tap while you rub them. Don’t waste it.
